Employee Capacity Allocation ORGANIZATIONAL ANALYSIS

Employee Capacity Allocation (ECA) analysis, ie analysis of available employee time allocation of selected organizational unit by business activities.
Purpose and goals:
Defining the current capacity allocation within the organizational unit
Determining employee engagement by organizational unit and its business processes
Answering the question "What do employees do within the organizational unit and how much time and money they spend?"

AGILE

It does not require a detailed elaboration of business activities (though not excluded) which enables greater flexibility in process development.

SIMPLE

Surveying is conducted for a period (eg annually, semi-annually, ...) instead of the often tedious daily filling of time records.

FAST

Results can be obtained in a very short time, but it depends on the scope of the analysis.

Derived Business Cases

We analyze the organization to determine what current state and needs are.

What is the structure of the process by organizational units?
As far as employees within individual organizational units are concerned, they can be measured in a variety of ways, and one of the best accepted is time allocation by business process. The consultants often point out that the results are even more accurate if employees are to be provided with the alocation of working hours.
Are employees doing their core business optimally?
Each organizational unit exists for a certain reason and it is always interesting to see if the time share used for such jobs is adequate. By categorizing business activities on the core business and other, it is easy to get answers.
Does the current descriptions of jobs match the actual work being done?
If companies are doing their job description at the time of the business process, or if job descriptions are the basis for process development, the ECA analysis enables a quick check of the accuracy of current job descriptions.
Is there a possibility of increasing / decreasing job specialization?
The trend of increasing specialization is omnipresent, and this is one of the very common issues for analysts. The ECA analysis allows for a calculation of the fragmentation coefficient, which is precisely the goal of highlighting activities with an FTE ratio and the number of employees involved in this activity being disadvantageous.
